  • I had to use this textbook/workbook for a required freshman course at my university. It seemed basic and self explainatory aka "state the obvious or common sense". However, I enjoyed how this book broke down particular topics and went into further detail. I like to think of this textbook more like a workbook. I'd recommend to anyone who really wants to learn something new about themselves that may be potentially useful in the future. Even if you aren't taking a course that uses this book. It's excellent for personal use as well. As a junior in college, I still use the book as referance.
  • This book helps you explore the different opportunities that are out there. I purchased this book because it was required for a Career class that I took. I learned quite a bit about myself and found out what path I wanted to take in life. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to gain insight into which field of work they want to go in to.
  • I find the reading and exercises that accompany it very beneficial to finding out who you are as a person, what your values and interests are, and what careers and lifestyles would fit those values and interests to live the life you really desire, rather than just going with the flow of what other people say about careers. For those that want to actually have a meaningful life and enjoy their life NOW and not waste their time taking on a job they hate so they can enjoy their life at ripe old age of retirement THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU.

YOU HAVE ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Don't waste it doing a job that can never satisfy.
  • I've read a lot different career books over the years, and so far this is the best book. The chapter on interviewing is a must read. It talks about how potential employers ask "stress questions" to see how you react to stress. I've always wondered what was the intent behind, "what's one of your weaknesses, and tell us about how you coped." Employers use that question as a gauge to see how well you react under pressure. This book is truly amazing, interesting and challenging (in a good way).
  • I just needed this book for a class I was taking. It was used so I knew what I was getting myself into with many of the worksheets completed and lots of mark ups. I don't particularly like the book, but I didn't love the class either, so I can't default stars for that!
  • I just took a summer career class with this book and I highly recommend it. It validated the good things that I have done to be successfully, introduced me to new things and it reminded me of what I already new. Great book if you are lost and a highly recommended class if you don't know what you want to do in your career, changing careers or have come to a point in your life that it is necessary to change careers.
  • I bought this book because of a class at college about careers. It only works on Fire and iPad. Its annoying the publisher does not allow content on PC. The content of the book is helpful. It takes some time for pages to load. A minus star for not making available the content to PC, or only two devices. Another minus star for the pages to load slow.
  • Awesome product
