• I purchased this for my niece's 8th b-day with an obnoxious amount of gel pens. I wanted to get her something that was encouraging and inspiring because I think it's important for young girls to develop a healthy sense of self. This coloring/activity book was just what I was looking for without being too cheesy or having so much positivity it is vomit-inducing and unrealistic.
• As a mobile therapist, I require a huge library of coloring books for boys & girls alike. This has been one of my most popular among my kiddos! As a therapist i love the inspirational quotes & bold designs, making them awesome pieces for kiddos to display at home or in their lockers proudly. Appropriate for all ages & coloring abilities. I love them myself too ) pages are blank on the back, leaving room for drawing & name signing if need be.
• I got this book for my 11 year old daughter. She hasn’t received it yet, but I know she will love it. I as a mother absolutely love it. I love how positive the coloring pages are. There is also a positive quote on the back of each page. I may just have to purchase one for myself.
• Bought as a Christmas present for my 8 year old niece who is already struggling with hating her freckles and strawberry blonde hair. I hope when she sits down to color, she reads the message and takes it all in. She's too young to be struggling with self images already, I hope this coloring book empowers her!

  My 4 years old daughter loves it and can sit for a long time enjoying this activity.
  We especially had a great time together filling the page of "you are..." with wonderful positive characteristics and behavior. We all enjoyed it.

• When we're in a dark place, the empathy and even sympathy of others may feel good, but we often need even more is rock-solid encouragement to persevere. That's the truth behind Kyle Idleman's newest book.
  
  In section 1, Idleman encourages the reader to live courageously. To keep believing, keep fighting, and keep perspective. He goes on to discuss, in section 2, releasing ourselves from the weight of four things that all too often drag us down anxiety, religion, lies, and unbelief. He concludes his book with section 3, in which he encourages the reader to run their race. He discusses the obstacles often faced and how to navigate them step by step, in confidence.
  
  You might say that's nothing new, nothing you haven't heard before, BUT, and this is important, you haven't heard it through the words of Kyle Idleman.
  
  Several things stand out in this book. First, Idleman never deviates from Biblical truth. He doesn't put his spin on a passage, nor does he add or subtract from the Word. He simply presents what God says and then explains how it is applicable to our struggle to courageously and successfully "run the race" in the twenty-first century.
  
  And he doesn't preach at the reader. Instead, he candidly and with wry humor shares his own experiences and that of other individuals. Over and again, I found myself, often with a smile on my face but sometimes with a tear in my eye, nodding my head in acknowledgement of a shared experience or emotion and of the truth of Idleman's words.
  
  This book is for the spouse of an alcoholic, the parent of a wayward child, the individual struggling to tame their temper, the couple dealing with infertility, the young adult facing massive student-loan debt and scant means to make the payments, the person struggling with a chronic or life-threatening illness, someone fighting an addiction, the teenager who feels unloved and unwanted by his or her peers, and the list goes on and on.
  
  In short, Don't Give Up is for anyone and everyone, because all of us need Biblical, down-in-the-trenches wisdom on courage and perseverance in the face of life's challenges.
• Kyle, hits another home run with Don't Give Up Faith That Gives You the Confidence and the Courage to Keep Going. I went through about every emotion I can think of reading this book. At times it was like Kyle was telling my personal life story and I am sure most of you will feel the same. He is gifted at combining personal stories with his insight and scriptural parallels to get his point across. I believe the book can be best summarized by what Kyle says himself on page 227. "Anyone can run downhill, short distances, the wind at our back. But what happens when the road tilts upward, the sun beats down, we're exhausted, and our strength runs out? In life, the love of Christ, when we truly understand it, when personally experience it, compels us. It won't allow us to quit." I know this to be true from personal experience. Please do yourself a favor and read this great book. I was privileged to be part of the launch team and I ordered a copy for some friends who are going through the challenges of Parkinson's Disease and I believe it will give them the encouragement they need. I will also be using it and the video resources for ministry in the local county jail that I minister at. #DontGiveUp
• What an encouraging call to action! Kyle Idleman has, once again, written just what I needed in this stage of my walk with Christ. Wherever you are in that journey, whatever obstacles/challenges you face, this book is one to help you keep on going. I have already used portions of this book not only for my own encouragement, but to encourage others who are facing life's challenges. The notion that WE are the "joy set before" Christ which enabled Him to endure the cross is something to remember and to fuel us to keep going! I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you have not yet read it, NOW is the time!
• I have been reading Pastor Kyle Idleman’s books for quite a while now. From his very first book, Not a Fan, to this most recent book, Don’t Give Up. I love his down to earth, witty writing style and Biblical insight into topics that are relevant to anyone. Don’t Give Up does not disappoint, and it has encouraged me to keep pressing on, no matter the circumstance. I would recommend this book to anyone not just because of my familiarity with the author’s writings, but also because everyone needs to hear this message. Don’t Give Up on your marriage, your kids, your family, your situation. There is hope.
• We all have our ups and downs. Some people seem to have more downs than others. Some seasons of life seem to be more difficult to navigate than others. Kyle Idleman’s new book, “Don’t Give Up,” is just the encouragement needed for someone going through a rough patch.
  
  If your life is cruising along smoothly, this book is for you, too. Having a plan to push through the “little” challenges of daily life will prepare you for the tough times that everyone will face at some point in time.

Gangadean's book Philosophical Foundation has been used as required reading in philosophy and religious studies classrooms in the Phoenix area. Gangadean attempts to prove Christian theism by showing that all alternative views are logically impossible. He argues through a series of steps to show that 'only some is eternal' by showing that 'matter exists,' 'matter is not eternal,' 'the soul exists,' and 'the soul is not eternal.' This, he claims, gets us to theism. He then responds to the problem of evil, naturalistic evolution, theistic evolution, and deism, to show the certainty of Christian theism.

Gangadeanian Gadfly asks How would Socrates respond? What probing questions would Socrates ask? After each step in the Gangadeanian proof is analyzed, critical questions are offered that can be used to uncover the inconsistencies, fallacies, and faulty premises in their arguments. It is shown that the Gangadeanian philosophical foundation is on shaky ground and the basic beliefs about God and man and good and evil are not clear to reason.

"This book deserves one star. I was initially intrigued by it because I am familiar with the philosophy of Gangadean et al., I don't agree with it at its foundational level, and I have not seen a scholarly treatment of Gangadean et al.'s philosophy. So I picked it up, knowing nothing about the author. In fact, there is no biographical information about the author. Just a name. What's that about?? Anyways, this book is a very poor treatment of "Gangadeanianism." For one, the book has typographical and grammatical errors throughout. Even the cover of the page has a typo! Spencer Hawkins gets wrong the name of one of his objects of critique. He makes this error in the entire book. It's Kelly Fitzsimmons Burton, NOT Fitzimmons. That's unprofessional. The table of contents likewise has a typo. He has an "Epilouge," but it should be "Epilogue." It's this kind of error that pervades his small book. That's a turn-off for me when I am reading a critique of another.

But on a more essential level, the book is wholly inadequate. Spencer Hawkins is attempting a refutation of Rational Presuppositionalism (RP). I personally do not affirm RP, though many of its attempts at highlighting the clarity of God's revelation are commendable. I personally know many who hold to RP. I myself could defend RP against Hawkins, and I'm not RP! The book is that weak. I know the arguments that RP is making, and Hawkins does not, although he thinks he does. His refutations are very short (like a paragraph or two in any given chapter). He shows that he's not carefully reading the people he wants to refute. For instance, in his chapter on "Step 6, Some is Eternal," he brings a possible objection to Owen Anderson's view by appealing to Graham Oppy. Hawkins entertains an idea of how Anderson might reply to Oppy. However, Anderson does address Oppy in another of his books. Why, then, is there a need to guess how Anderson might interact with Oppy?? I could say more, but I have a better use of my time. Hawkins was quick to reply and slow to listen to his objects of criticism. Save your coin and don't buy this book. Not worth it."

Uma parte se deve ao fato de que a maioria das pessoas não se empenhe em aprender sobre relaciona- mentos, desenvolvimento pessoal ou investimen- tos familiares. Existe no inconsciente coletivo a ideia de “quando chegar a gente vê”, seja no casa- mento, na criação dos filhos ou nas subsequentes crises que estas relações provocam de tempos em tempos. Se está errado? Absolutamente! Ora, se há empenho constante para se especializar no tra- balho, nos estudos e em outras áreas técnicas da vida julgadas inferiores à familiar, por que, então, não se vê empenho similar em cuidar das emo- ções, das relações e do desenvolvimento de cada membro da família? A resposta é simples todo mundo acha que sabe. A realidade, entretanto, é outra ninguém sabe nada, nem de si mesmo, nem do outro.
Todavia, se hoje, com o tanto que se fala do assunto, a adolescência ainda é uma incógnita para tantos pais, imagine no tempo do meu pai, ou do meu avô, ou dos seus! Isto porque, para começo de conversa, esta noção de que este perí- odo entre a infância e vida adulta é uma fase importante só começou há 100 anos e, mesmo assim, meio capenga, sem muita atenção dos cen- tros acadêmicos ou profissionais de saúde. Só depois da Segunda Guerra Mundial é que se vê estudos e ensaios relevantes sobre o tema que nem eram citados nos estudos sérios do século 19. A mudança de estilo de vida e demografia ditam um bocado deste porquê, uma vez que a tecnologia entra com força na vida das pessoas, que agora precisam de menos gente no trabalho, com o advento de máquinas para fazer o serviço que antes era feito por todos os filhos das grandes famílias. Os meninos e meninas encarregados de manter a economia doméstica girando são deslo- cados dos campos, das fábricas e oficinas para as escolas, o tempo livre se amplia, as mudanças de alimentação interferem na antecipação da puber- dade e as escolhas se avolumam.
Se há um século a puberdade acontecia por volta dos 15-16 anos para as meninas, a menarca hoje dá as caras aos 10-11 anos, aumentando, entre outras coisas, riscos de doenças ocasionadas por tanto tempo menstruando sem a geração de filhos. Isto sem mencionar que com maior esco- laridade e menor presença dos pais, se vê uma ode à rebeldia e incompreensão desta faixa etária que está confusa, triste e se sentindo desespera- damente carente. Este olhar para os adolescentes, que antes eram classificados dos 12 aos 19 anos e hoje já se estende aos 25, segundo a maioria dos especialistas, se restringia à psicólogos, uma vez que no século passado só se conhecia criança e adulto. Vestidas como gente grande, as crianças não tinham muitos direitos e tão logo pudessem fazer algo mais significativo, eram consideradas adultas, com responsabilidades sérias e sem mui- tos questionamentos levados em conta.
Não é que jovens sempre tenham se compor- tado como idosos, sem vontades, sem questiona- mentos, sem dúvidas existenciais, mas a isto não era dada tanta importância e o período era redu- zido; sem falar que as grandes mudanças sociais, como uma grande guerra onde os filhos jovens eram enviados para morrer em prol do país, gera- ram no mundo uma grande percepção de falência e desapego. Eram os pais se descolando emocio- nalmente dos filhos desde pequenos, para evi- tar sofrimento futuro quando a morte prematura fosse resultado do chamado da nação; eram os jovens sem apego à autoridade, uma vez que ela, no lugar de proteger sua vida, a exigia. Sim, as guerras mudaram dramaticamente a visão de uni- dade familiar e de importância da adolescência no Ocidente.

• This book really saved the day for my 9th grader in AP Env Sci. She discovered that while her science teacher had prepped students very well for the science portion of the test, he hadn't covered any of the legislation, policies, or prominent figures. This book, paired with the flash cards and a year-long course, worked well to prepare her for the AP test. She used it only for 11 days before the exam. We don't have her results back yet, but she came out of the exam saying she felt she did "really well."
• I, like almost every person who buys these books for the AP Test, didn’t open this until maybe 2 weeks before the test. It was good in the sense that it gave me all the information in one place but if you want to save money and potentially study better just make your own study guide. Doing practice problems was fun and all but I don’t think they made a difference in my preparation. Also the test in the back of the book was extremely hard and it only caused me extra stress. I got a 5 on the 2018 exam.
